Karen Mullen recognised as a Global Fellow in Medicines Development

We are delighted to congratulate Chief Medical Officer at Boyds, Dr Karen Mullen, on being recognised as a Global Fellow in Medicines Development (GFMD) by the Academy of Global Medicines Development Professionals.

The GMDP Academy Global Fellows Program is a remarkable initiative that unites experts and those experienced in the development of medicines with the aim to advance the disciplines involved in pharmaceutical medicine/medicines development to gain competence and professional identity amongst their membership. 

The award acknowledges Karen’s significant contributions and achievements over her career that have promoted the advancement and awareness of Pharmaceutical Medicine as a global discipline and profession.

Karen is a highly skilled pharmaceutical physician with more than 20 years of experience in medical affairs and drug research and development. She has worked internationally across a wide range of pharmaceutical therapy areas and has been involved in the development and commercialisation of over 20 medicines including vaccines, diabetes treatments, gene therapy for ocular diseases, and monoclonal antibodies for a range of diseases. During her career, she has also been involved in medical strategy and post-surveillance monitoring for approximately 75 registered medicines.
