Prof Alan Boyd awarded Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society
Professor Alan Boyd, CEO and President of Boyds, has been awarded Fellowship of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS). The prestigious award recognises Alan’s standout contribution to pharmacology.
This year, the BPS has welcomed 40 new Fellows and awarded 13 Honorary Fellowships, celebrating the exceptional achievements and impact of professionals across academia, clinical care, and industry.
Fellows and Honorary Fellows play a vital role in advancing pharmacology through their work in the discovery, development, and application of medicines. Their leadership inspires and supports the next generation of professionals in the field.
Reflecting on the 2024 cohort, BPS President, Professor Sir Mark Caulfield, remarked:
“The individuals elected this year showcase the remarkable breadth of expertise driving progress in pharmacology. This cohort represents the diversity of our membership, with a 60/40 gender split and over 34% coming from international backgrounds. Notably, two early career researchers have also been elected as Fellows this year.”
We extend our congratulations to Professor Alan Boyd and all the newly elected Fellows and Honorary Fellows for this well-deserved recognition.
