Katy Rudnick awarded Aiko Maruya award for Excellence in Regulatory Science

Boyds congratulates Katy Rudnick, Vice President and Head of US Regulatory Affairs, on being awarded the Aiko Maruya Award from the USC School of Pharmacy.

Katy is currently enrolled on the regulatory doctorate program at University of Southern California where she is working on her dissertation. The USC DRSc program is the only doctoral program in regulatory science in the world, accepting only a small student cohort biennially.

The Aiko Maruya Award is given to students pursuing their graduate education in the department of regulatory or quality sciences based upon academic merit and personal qualities. The recipient is carefully selected by a committee of reviewers comprised of faculty and staff. The award for excellence in Regulatory Science is named in honor of Aiko Maruya who passed away before she could receive her doctoral degree. – USC School of Pharmacy.

Commenting on the award, Katy said “I am honored to accept the Aiko Maruya Award and humbled by the circumstances in which it was created. I will champion her spirit with my continued studies and contributions to the field of regulatory science.”
