Boyds announces trio of promotions

Boyds is delighted to announce a series of promotions across the company.

Our leading Regulatory Affairs Group has promoted Dr Sabine Rühle to Director of Regulatory Affairs and Navila Rehman to Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Operations.

A member of the Organisation of Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (MTOPRA), Sabine joined Boyds in 2019 as a Senior Associate within the Regulatory Affairs team. Over the last four years, Sabine has taken on projects of increasing responsibility across all product types and regions and has established herself as a genetically modified organisms (GMOs) subject matter expert within the company, with a special interest in nonclinical development.

Sabine has used her strong GMO expertise to deliver training for TOPRA and recently led the preparation of a paper on the complexities of obtaining approval for clinical trials involving GMOs for the organisation’s journal. She has been shortlisted twice for a TOPRA Award, primarily for her work in the gene therapy and GMO space. Sabine also made a significant strategic contribution to the development of a GMO vaccine for the prevention of Covid-19 infection in 2020.

Dr Julie Warner, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, said: “Since joining Boyds, Sabine has applied her extensive experience in nonclinical research to add significant value to client projects. Her in-depth knowledge of advanced therapies has led to her becoming a ‘go-to’ person within the company for questions about client projects.”

Navila joined Boyds in 2021 as Submissions Compliance and Quality Manager. Since then, she has been instrumental in overseeing the establishment of Boyds’ Quality Management System.

Julie said: “Navila has provided invaluable support to the team by guiding the development of our fit-for-purpose framework as we expand, and leading our quality meetings. She has also provided significant support in the quality control of key regulatory submissions, often under tight deadlines and working with varying data sources.”

In Boyds’ marketing team, Eleanor Brumby has been promoted to Marketing Executive. After joining Boyds in 2021, Eleanor has taken on the responsibility for social media management, assisted with implementing the marketing strategy, developed her design and digital skills, and worked closely with the Business Development team to develop Boyds’ CRM system.

Dr Neil Fish, Vice President of Business Development, said: “Eleanor’s work in developing the Boyds pitch, corporate capabilities, and bid presentations, as well as managing our CRM system and digital channels, has played a key part in our success in securing new clients. She has quickly become a real asset to the team at Boyds and we are looking forward to continuing to support the growth and development of her career.”
