Katherine Bowen recognised as a Fellow of TOPRA

Katherine Bowen, Chief Regulatory Affairs Officer at Boyds, has been awarded Fellowship of TOPRA (The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs), the highest grade of membership offered by the professional body.

Fellowship of TOPRA is reserved for regulatory affairs professionals with at least ten years’ experience who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the profession. Candidates are nominated by their peers and assessed by TOPRA’s Fellowship Appointment Panel before being ratified by the TOPRA Board. The designation recognises not only an individual’s regulatory expertise and seniority, but a consistent record of activity that influences, guides and develops the profession beyond the demands of their day-to-day role.

Katherine joined Boyds in 2022 and has extensive experience in strategic regulatory affairs having led on multiple complex, multifactorial client projects, and regulatory agency interactions and negotiations.

Commenting on the Fellowship, Katherine said, “Becoming a Fellow of TOPRA is a tremendous honor. TOPRA has helped to shape my career and given me the chance to teach, mentor and contribute to a profession I love – and I’m grateful to my peers for this recognition. I look forward to continuing to support the regulatory profession and the great work that TOPRA does.”

Boyds’ Founder and CEO, Professor Alan Boyd MBE, added, “We are absolutely delighted for Katherine, and this recognition is richly deserved. Her contribution to regulatory affairs reaches well beyond her work for our clients – from winning TOPRA’s Inspiration Award and working as a module lead and supervisor for the TOPRA MSc, to mentoring emerging professionals, publishing influential analysis on the evolving regulatory landscape, and now serving as a judge for the 2026 TOPRA Awards. Fellowship is reserved for those who genuinely shape the profession, and Katherine does that every day. We’re proud to have her on the team and proud to see her recognized among the very best in the field.”
