Boyds, global drug development consultancy headquartered in Crewe, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the local community by continuing its patronage of The Cat for a further year.
The renewed partnership reflects Boyds’ ongoing commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, with a particular focus on social value, community engagement, and local investment. As a volunteer-led community radio station serving Crewe and Nantwich, The Cat plays an important role in connecting local people, amplifying community voices, and supporting regional culture and businesses.
As Patron, Boyds will continue to support decision-making and assist with ideas and vision for the growth of the radio station.
Professor Alan Boyd, Founder and CEO of Boyds, commented:
“At Boyds, we support organisations around the world to develop new medicines for patients everywhere. However, while our work is global, our values are deeply rooted in local communities.
Continuing our patronage of The Cat is part of our commitment to giving back to the community where we are based. Community organisations like The Cat provide enormous social value, and we are proud to support their volunteers and their vision for the future.”
The Cat is powered by volunteers who produce local programming, music, and community-focused content for audiences across Crewe and Nantwich. The station works closely with local organisations, charities, and businesses, helping to strengthen social connection and regional identity.
