Boyds announced as Proud Patron of CAT FM

The Cat, local radio station for Crewe and Nantwich, has announced a partnership with Boyds, global drug development consultancy.

With head offices based in Crewe, Boyds will undertake the role of patron of the community radio station, offering support, business development advice and sponsorship that will enable the continuation of the volunteer-led organisation.

Boyds will work closely with The Cat, supporting decision-making and assisting with ideas and vision for the growth of the radio station. We are delighted to have also made a donation to The Cat that has allowed for the purchase of protective outdoor wear for the team of 50+ volunteers and has supported the stations recent rebrand and launch on digital radio.

Professor Alan Boyd, Founder and CEO of Boyd Consultants said: “At Boyds we help pharmaceutical companies and universities from Sydney to San Francisco develop their research ideas to turn them into medicines for the benefit of patients everywhere.

“Although we are a global organisation operating out of Crewe, I think it is also very important to be involved in the local community and becoming a Patron of The Cat is a great way to do that. I am very pleased that as a company we can contribute in this way and give our support”

Des Machin, Director of Business Development at The Cat said: “As a community organisation we work with and create content for audiences living in the Crewe and Nantwich area, and that audience includes hundreds of businesses with years of experience and expertise.

“We’re grateful to have forged this partnership with Boyds and Boughey, their support and advice have already made an impact on the reach and positive direction of the station.

“We’re looking forward to moving The Cat to the next level by increasing our interaction and visibility within the local area, and it’s clear from the fantastic work that Boyds and Boughey already do that they care deeply about people, and their local communities.”
